Chinese Pizza Pancakes

Welcome to Xiao’s Kitchen – A cooking channel dedicated to creating some of the world’s best Asian dishes

Serve this with the soups or stews on my channel.

290g Pizza Base Mix
200g Warm Water

1. Combine pizza base mix and water in a bowl to form a smooth dough.
2. Seal and leave in a warm place to rest and rise to double its size.
3. Dust a work surface with self raising flour and start rolling it out.
4. Divide the dough into 10 equal sizes.
5. Heat 1 litre of oil in a wok.
6. Meanwhile, roll each dough with rolling pin into a pancake about 2mm in thickness.
7. Make 2 cuts in the centre of each pancake – about 1½ to 2 inches long.
8. Place maximum of 3 pancakes 1 at a time in the hot oil and deep fry for a minute each side.
9. Remove from oil and drain.
10. Transfer onto a dish and serve.
